6.875" LONG SMALL DIAMETER HIGH PURITY SINGLE BORE
ALUMINA CERAMIC TUBING STOCK REFRACTORY
You are bidding on ONE (1) only of a 6.875" Long Small Diameter High Purity Alumina Ceramic Tubes Tubing Stock. They are in mint condition being NS (New Stock). The are 6.875" long to provide kerf for cutting to shorter lengths. You are able to get two full 3" Long Pieces or three full 2" long pieces from this tube. They are made from 99% purity Aluminum Oxide (Al2O3) which of course is Alumina. Generally the balance of composition for this purity Alumina material is of Silicon Dioxide (SiO2) which is Silica. These tubes are fired to full density; and are therefore not porous.
This material has very high hardness, very high stiffness, very good corrosion resistance to chemicals at high temperature, and very high refractoriness or use temperature. They may be used for a variety of electrical, mechanical, and thermal applications. They may be used as setter plates for firing parts in a kiln. The may be used for high temperature furnaces and as high temperature refractory turntables. They may also be used for jewelry or for applications requiring high wear or abrasion resistance. Your imagination is the only limiting factor in the spectrum of possible applications for this component. Be sure to view all photos as they are an integral component of the item description.
The specifications for these components are as follows:
Outside Diameter: Average Approximately 0.250" +/- 0.013" or (6.35 +/- 0.33 mm)
Inside Diameter: Average Approximately 0.187” +/- 0.009" or (4.75 +/- 0.23 mm)
Wall Thickness: Average Approximately 0.030” (0.75 mm)
Length: Average Approximately 6.875” +/- 0.063" (120 mm)
Please Note: These are precision technical ceramic components. There is no warp or camber on these items. They are straight and round. The thermal shock resistance is not very high so exercise rule of thumb caution. “The larger the piece of material the slower the rate of temperature increase should be applied to the piece.” Heat up slowly to avoid cracking in use.

These components were not specifically manufactured for an individual application; therefore be sure to check the dimensional descriptions carefully for your application. Future returns or requests for refunds, because of some "fit" issue or the like will not be honored. Please check the other Alumina tubing component variants that are available in my listings for the model or models that best fits your requirement. Your imagination is the only limiting factor in the spectrum of possible applications for these components and materials.
